Carnival Youth publishes a version of Tin Soldiers and announces a tour of castles and manors – Music

The group “Carnival Youth” has released its version of Imants Kalniņš’s song “Tin Soldiers” from Rolands Kalniņš’s film “Four White Shirts”. It will be included in the group’s Latvian film music program album “Naivais ku-ku”, which is expected at the end of July.

With the release of the album “Naivais ku-ku”, “Carnival Youth” will start the “Naive ku-ku” concert tour in Latvian castles and manors, touring a total of nine of them. “Latvia has fantastic castles and wonderful manors, and we have taken care of a great reason to go see them. With the support of Gulbene municipality, a music video clip for the song “Alvas zaldātiņi” has been made in the picturesque Stāmeriena castle, where one of the tour concerts will take place. The director of the clip, Tom Harjo, admits: “The protagonist, who lives on the verge of dementia, feels as passionate as his healthy, trusted companions, who still hold shoulder to shoulder. I wanted to create a clip that would allow emotional connection to the characters and their experiences. Go away from alienation and illustration and create real fiction. ”

“Carnival Youth” tour “Naive Ku-ku” will start on July 17 in Balvi manor, but further its path will lead to Remte manor castle (July 23), Lante manor (July 24), Luznava manor (July 25), Vecpiebalga manor (August 8), Mālpils manor (August 22), Stāmeriena castle (August 28), Krimulda manor (September 4) and Jaunmoku castle (September 5). Last year, Carnival Youth released the song “Cuckoo’s Voice”, which won the hearts of many, and launched the Latvian film music concert program “Naive Ku-ku”. In 2020, it was performed in 32 concerts in 17 Latvian cities.
