Carmen Geiss defends her dress: ‘It’s a rabbit’

After heavy criticism, reality star Carmen defends her dress. “They’re rabbits,” says the 57-year-old of the Munich German Press Agency. “He’s not an ocelot, he’s not a sable.” He generally only wears animal stuff that you can eat. “The coat is actually 10 or 12 years old. That’s why I don’t throw the coat away.” Geiss wears the coat in London when the new season of the docu-soap “The Geissens – A Terribly Glamorous Family” is filmed.

On Instagram there is no shortage of criticism for the photo she shows alongside her husband Robert: “Sorry the fur doesn’t work at all, think of the animals!!!!!”, read one of the comments. Another photo shows Carmen Geiss next to a statue of Amy Winehouse, wearing the same dress as her. There she reads in the comments: “Fur is no longer in step with the times, especially when you are in public. Very questionable!” And also: “If I see fur, I have to vomit.”

To escape all the hustle and bustle, the Geiss family retreats for Christmas – to a holiday home in the French mountains, “without a camera”, as the parents and their daughters Shania and Davina unanimously point out, according to dpa. “It’s the time when we’re alone,” explains 18-year-old Shania. Fans don’t have to do without their favorites completely. “We make videos and put them on the Internet,” promises Carmen Geiss.
