“Carmelo Anthony Bids Farewell to Basketball: A Look Back at his 19-Year Career”

Carmelo Anthony, one of the legends of the American Professional Basketball League, decided to retire after a 19-year career full of achievements.

The American player announced this, Monday, through a video recording he posted on his social media pages, in which he said: “It is time to say goodbye.”

Anthony added in the video: “I remember the days when I had nothing. Just a ball on the court and dreaming of something bigger. Basketball was my outlet. My goal was big.”

Anthony is 38 years old, and during his career he succeeded in participating in 19 seasons with six different clubs (Denver Nuggets, New York Knicks, Oklahoma City Thunder, Houston Rockets and Portland Trail Blazers before joining the Lakers).

During his career, he scored 28,289 points, as he played the last season with the Los Angeles Lakers shirt in the 2021-2022 season, and he had missed the current season.
