Fatal accident in the late afternoon of Sunday 15 May 2022, around 6.15 pm, along provincial road 20, in via Torino at the intersection with Cà Matilde, on the border between Carignano and Carmagnola, in the territory of the latter town. Due to causes under investigation by local police officers, Sebastiano Rosa, a 54-year-old dentist from Nichelino, who was traveling on a Honda motorcycle, died instantly.
An eight-year-old girl, daughter of her partner, was traveling in the same vehicle, transported by helicopter rescue to the Regina Margherita hospital in very serious conditions. The little girl underwent neurosurgery during the night for severe head trauma, chest trauma and abdominal trauma. The prognosis is reserved with immediate danger of life.
A 44-year-old Italian, mother of the child and cohabitant of Rosa, was traveling on a second motorcycle involved in the accident, who was transported by helicopter rescue to the CTO hospital in Turin. She suffered a severe fracture of the pelvis and a ruptured bladder. The prognosis is reserved but the danger of life has been averted.
The first car involved in the accident is a Mercedes A-Class in which a 50-year-old Italian and her nine-year-old son were traveling, both transported to the Santa Croce hospital in Moncalieri in minor conditions. For the first time, the local police requested a hospital check of the psychophysical conditions before getting behind the wheel.
The second car, on the other hand, is a Fiat Panda with two people around 60 years old on board, both transported by ambulance to the CTO hospital in Turin. The woman who drove reported no serious consequences, while the man reported a 90-day prognosis for a vertebral fracture fortunately without further complications.
On the spot, in addition to the local police and the health workers, the carabinieri of the mobile nucleus of the Moncalieri company and of the Carignano station and the firefighters with the Drago helicopter of the Turin provincial command and with the teams of Turin Lingotto and of Carmagnola.
