San Diego, California.- San Diego Wave will be reinforced in goal with the experienced, Carly Telford, after years at the service of Chelsea.
The 34-year-old has been in a key transition with Chelsea to be a professional team, as well as accompanying the English club to four domestic titles, winning the Spring Series, FA Cup and Continental Cup twice, finishing with 76 appearances in the court.
He has also represented the England team for many years, appearing in three World Cups, the recent one in France 2019 having one of the best games by winning by a minimum of 1-0 against Argentina.
“We didn’t want to lose her, but we couldn’t stop her from taking advantage of this fantastic opportunity in the United States. We wish Carly the best in this next chapter of her career and she knows she will always be welcome here at any time,” said Emma Hayes, Chelsea manager.
Now Telford joins Kailen Sheridan, who was one of the Californian club’s first reinforcements.
