TEMPO.CO, Jakarta – Famous burger restaurant, Carl’s Jr. will officially close all its outlets in Indonesia on December 31 2023. This announcement was made via the official Instagram account @carlsjrindonesia on December 20 2023.
“Thank you for your incredible support over 10 years. Carl’s Jr. Indonesia “will end its operations which have been operating under the Mahadasha Group on December 31 2023,” wrote the caption of the upload on Carl’s Jr Indonesia’s official Instagram.
Management expressed its gratitude for the support during 10 years of operation under the Mahadasha Group. Carl’s Jr. first appeared in Indonesia in 2014 at Bintaro Jaya Xchange Mall and has since opened a total of seven outlets.
Although the company claims to provide a different service with burgers served after ordering, now the era of Carl’s Jr. in Indonesia seems to be reaching its end.

1. Lottery
This fast food restaurant from South Korea announced the closure of all outlets in Indonesia starting June 29 2020. In a post on the official Twitter account @Lotteria_Indo on June 19 2020, Lotteria management conveyed this tough decision and expressed their gratitude for the trust of customers for 9 years.
Many fans regret the loss of Lotteria’s favorite menu. This restaurant is the core business of the Lotte Group, present in Indonesia since 2011 with dozens of outlets in Jabodetabek, Karawang and Bandung.
2. Fish & Co
Fish & Co, which has been serving delicious seafood for 19 years in Indonesia, finally closed its outlets on December 31, 2022. This announcement was made via Instagram stories on December 18, 2022.
Fish & Co management, which has parted ways with GF Culinary, would like to say goodbye and thank all loyal customers. They promise to continue presenting exciting culinary delights through other brands.
Meanwhile, GF Culinary as the owner of Fish & Co leaves nine other brands, including OJJU, Putien, Marutama Ra-men, and others.
3. Marche Movenpick
After providing culinary experience for 11 years in Indonesia, Marche Movenpick restaurant officially closed all its outlets on Wednesday, September 30 2020. Reporting from havehalalwilltravel.comBefore closing, this famous restaurant with European flavors had three branches, namely at Grand Indonesia, Plaza Senayan and Lippo Mall Puri.
This restaurant is known for its concept open kitchen which allows customers to directly see the cooking process and enjoy the meal in a warm state.
