Carlos Santana (74) has treated himself to an upgrade. One year after buying a vacation home on the Hawaiian island of Kauai for 7.3 million francs, the guitarist has now acquired a larger property nearby for 18.6 million francs. The modern property is located in Princeville, on the north coast of Kauai, and has an area of around 760 square meters with a large veranda, as revealed by real estate agents Ben Welborn and Neal Norman from Hawai’i Life. According to the real estate platform Zillow, the property, which has an infinity pool and a fantastic view of Hanalei Bay, was advertised for 25.2 million francs in October.

Property divided into four areas
The sellers were Canadian entrepreneur Brent Naylor and his wife Gayle Naylor. The couple bought the vacant lot in 2004 for 1.5 million francs and spent 16.3 million francs on building the house, according to Naylor. It’s made up of four separate parts connected by a central outdoor living area with a retractable roof, which is very convenient in Kauai’s rainy climate, Naylor said.
