The city of Villa Carlos Paz continues with the work of extracting aggregates from the San Antonio River, within the framework of the actions to advance the sanitation of the San Roque lake basin. On this occasion, the municipal crews were working in another of the most popular beach resorts: Playas de Oro.
Days ago, the same actions were being taken in El Fantasio.

As every year at this time, with the low water levels of the rivers, the municipality is extracting aggregates on the banks of the San Antonio River, with the proper authorization from the Provincial Water Resources Administration. However, of the nine places where interventions were previously carried out, this year, the Province only authorized two points.
The Secretary of Community Urban Development and Environmental Management, Carla Livelli, commented on this matter: “This is an action that is carried out every year and that was recommended by researchers from the National University of Córdoba through the bathymetry they carry out to know the levels of Lake San Roque and the capacity of the reservoir. From the municipality, we extract aggregates and collect them to later use in public works. This year, the provincial government only authorized two places for us, limiting the possibility of carrying out these tasks in more spaces.”
