Sports Writing, Jan 14 (EFE).- The Spanish Carlos Checa (MD Rallie Team), ex-pilot of the Motorcycle World Championship and champion in 2011 of the Superbike World Championship, concluded his debut in the Dakar, in the car category, and affirmed that He “had a great time” although he was weighed down by suffering a rollover in the third stage, but he indicated that he will repeat “for sure”.
“A very beautiful adventure, I had a great time and I’m sure we’ll do it again”, he commented in a video together with his co-driver, the Spaniard Ferran Marco.
“We have arrived… As we could, but we have arrived! I’ve had a blast. The mechanics did a great job repairing the car, which has endured what is not written, because we have given it a few shakes … “he said.
Checa and Marco finished in 66th position, weighed down by the stage in which they overturned and by the following two in which they could not go out to compete due to damage to their car, for which they accumulated 73 hours and 46 minutes of penalty.
