This Sunday, his brother Jorge denied that information, which he considered “a laboratory error.”

Through his personal Twitter account, Jorge Bilardo published:

“My brother has nothing, the very famous laboratory was wrong, it is to kill them, he almost certainly returns to the same place”,

He wrote to deny the version that had been released last Friday, after an examination that was carried out at the geriatric residence The Senior Home, in the Almagro neighborhood, where the former technical director is assisted.

However, after a while, Jorge Bilardo decided to delete the tweet, and so the uncertainty about the state of health of the DT world champion 34 years ago was generated again. In principle, the Doctor is admitted to the Argentine Institute of Diagnosis and Treatment (IADT) and this Monday he will undergo new examinations to assess his situation.

Bilardo had been transferred the same Friday to the IADT in good health and without any symptoms, and he spent the weekend there, after his contagion of coronavirus was announced in a nursing home in Almagro. Former President Carlos Menem is also hospitalized in the same healthcare center due to pneumonia from which he recovers.

The information that had been handled from Bilardo, who would occupy a space of two rooms in The Senior Home, was that he had been infected by a local nurse. In fact, the same residence admitted the positive case of its patient. The family of the former DT had also done it, but it was also pointed out that Bilardo is stable and in a good mood, and wants to move him to a house.

It is worth noting that in 2017 Carlos Bilardo was diagnosed with Hakim-Adams syndrome, also known as normal pressure hydrocephalus. After having this disease, he had a series of hospitalizations in recent years.
