Political analyst Carlos Araujo confirmed this Tuesday that the chain of custody of the electoral packages was never broken, as stated by the spokespersons of the opposition parties, who thereby try to justify the defeat in the recent presidential and legislative elections. .
In an interview on a local television channel, Araujo was clear when maintaining that “where the problem arises is that they begin to talk about the violation of the chain of custody, that is false.”
According to the expert on electoral issues, and Arena’s advisor in the Legislative Assembly, “the TSE plan was made as it has been done all its life. The responsibility for the transfer of these boxes is in the hands of the political parties by law,” he assured.
Likewise, he denied an audio that circulated on social networks where the president of the Supreme Electoral Tribunal (TSE), Dora Martínez, is heard allegedly accepting irregularities in the safekeeping and transfer of electoral packages.
“Throughout the audio (Dora Martínez) is talking about the technological kits that are blue boxes, which is where the paper goes to print the minutes, computers, printers. No one from the TSE has ever mentioned that the ballots were at risk,” he stated.
Finally, the analyst also told opposition spokespersons that there is no reason why they should feel surprised with the results in favor of President Nayib Bukele and Nuevas Ideas, since all the polls predicted it.
