Semi-finalist in Indian Wells last week – beaten by Rafael Nadal – the young Carlos Alcaraz (18) seems to have succeeded perfectly in the sequence with the Masters 1000 in Miami. The Spaniard indeed won this Saturday evening without a problem against Marton Fucsovics (6-3, 6-2) in the second round of the American tournament.

An evening that was more complicated for world number 5 Stefanos Tsitsipas. The Greek, opposed to the American JJ Wolf, 167th in the world, had to do it in three sets, after conceding the second act in the tie-break (6-4, 6-7 (5-7), 6- 1).

In the next round, Tsitsipas will face Australian Alex de Minaur (28th), who got rid of his compatriot Jordan Thompson (6-2, 6-3). If successful, the Greek could find the Spaniard Alcaraz in the round of 16, if the latter manages to get rid of Marin Cilic.
