Presenter Carlos Alberto de Nóbrega made his first appearance on SBT after undergoing brain surgery. In a video shown in the episode of A Praça é Nossa that aired on Thursday, the 28th, the communicator showed the scar on his head and announced his return to the “old and dear bank” in 2024.
Sitting on the first bench used in the program’s setting, the presenter explained: “An accident happened to me, you know. I took a really bad fall, and God helped me once again”, he said. The presenter comments that he fell with his hand on his head, which prevented him from hitting the stone of his house. “My hand protected me, but even so, I had two blood clots.”
After the accident, Carlos Alberto said that he returned to recording, but the clot grew larger and he needed surgery. With good humor, the presenter declared: “I’m going to show you first hand. Look what they did to my head!”, before taking off his cap and showing off the scar from the surgery. Afterwards, he even joked that he had “one screw loose”.
Finally, he announces his return to the Praça bench: ‘That’s it for today, but I’ll be back on Thursday”, he said.
Carlos Alberto de Nóbrega was admitted on December 14th, at the Sírio-Libanês Hospital, in São Paulo.
The presenter had already been admitted to the hospital on November 11, after suffering a fall at his country house and having a small internal bleed in his head.
At the time, Marcelo de Nóbrega, Carlos Alberto’s son, told Fofocalizando, on SBT, that the presenter tripped over his slipper, fell down the stairs, hit his face and head.
