He suddenly collapsed from an illness in front of his colleagues and there was nothing for him to do. So he died last Friday Carlo Cardinale46 years old from Galatone in the province of Lecce, director of the shipyarde of a Salento company engaged in renovation work in a kindergarten from Vicenza, in Veneto. The company was away to replace the external windows in the school building in via Turra 45.
The reconstructions
The Salento company had obtained the contract for these works and was at work taking advantage of the Easter school holidays. According to the reconstructions, Cardinale, during the visit, spoke with the other employees of the company. Shortly after, however, he felt ill and collapsed to the ground. Unfortunately, the call for help is useless. The health personnel of the 118 arrived promptly with an ambulance he could only ascertain the death of the man, so the resuscitation maneuvers would have been in vain.
Cardinal was well known in his home country and was also president of the historic Milan Club di Galatone: he leaves his wife and two children.
