The last season of the legendary American player was marked on Tuesday by her final meeting with the US selection, on the night of Tuesday to Wednesday.
Carli Lloyd will end his career at the end of the season. His farewell began on Tuesday with his very last appearance for the United States (316 caps), after being replaced in the 65th minute, during the friendly against Korea (6-0), by Alex Morgan, another great figure of Team USA.
She made her national debut in a match against Ukraine on July 10, 2005, and is one of the greatest players in the history of women’s football. She is the only player to have achieved a hat-trick in the final of a World Cup, achieving this feat during the first 16 minutes of the 2015 final won against Japan (5-2).

“It’s been a long career, and I’m not sure if there is really a lot to say,” said the 39-year-old after the meeting. I want to thank all the fans, the skeptics, the critics, everyone – you pushed me to always go further and I am extremely grateful to you. It was an honor to play this beautiful sport. I hope you know that I gave everything I had for each of you, ”she added.
