After a brief separation that she deplored on Instagram, Carla Bruni-Sarkozy landed in New York to find her husband, former President Nicolas Sarkozy, and participate in the famous MET Gala.
Their arrival was noticed at the “Mark” hotel in the city, where they will stay for a few days. Carla Bruni-Sarkozy shared on her Instagram account her joy at finding the city she knows well, just like her husband, who has made many business trips there.
But that’s not all, the two also have strong family ties to the city since their children live there.
Nicolas Sarkozy’s youngest son, Louis, resides in the Big Apple with his loving wife, Natali, while Carla Bruni’s eldest, Aurélien, has just graduated from Columbia University.
Her illustrious mother was happy to confirm it on her Instagram page, where she said she was proud.
However, the main reason for Carla Bruni-Sarkozy’s visit is to attend the famous MET Gala, an annual fashion event held this May Day. This year, the theme is “In honor of Karl” in tribute to Karl Lagerfeld, who died in 2019 from prostate cancer. Carla Bruni-Sarkozy will be one of the guests of the evening organized by Anna Wintour.
In addition, the “Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty” exhibition, which will be held from May 5 to July 16, will also be devoted to the illustrious designer and his French know-how.
