The unexpected death occurred less than three weeks after the death of her father, Carlos Goyanes. The businessman and producer became especially well-known in the seventies for marrying the artist Pepa Flores, baptized as Marisol. They walked down the aisle in 1969, when he was 24 and she was 21. They were together for three years, until 1972, due to the immaturity that both claimed as the cause of the divorce. Cari Lapique and Carlos Goyanes would marry in Marbella three years later, in 1975, in a lavish wedding in which Carmen Franco herself, the daughter of the dictator, signed as a witness. In addition to Caritina, the couple had Carla, a regular in the Spanish gossip press although also with a more discreet profile in recent years.
“Has it harmed you that your parents were famous people?” Caritina Goyanes was asked in an interview with Vanitatis in 2020. “We have not been a family of troubles and we have had a very healthy relationship with the press, with people. My mother, for example, is a woman who has always worked and the fact of appearing in magazines can be confusing. Also, many times you go to certain events because it is part of your job,” responded the person who has starred in several reports throughout her life in different Spanish tabloids. Last April, Caritina, her mother and her daughter starred in a report together in the magazine ¡Hola!“We spend all day together! We live one floor below my parents and my children spend time with their grandparents every day. In fact, I’ll tell you, even if one weekend, the four of us suddenly get away, we always spend all the holidays and celebrations with the whole family,” she recalled then about their close family relationship.
