Cáritas, December 29, 2022.- Cáritas Diocesana de Cádiz has held, through the Diocesan Family Support Program, a socio-educational workshop, in the town of Chiclana de la Frontera, with families accompanied by the Cáritas teams in the local parishes. The workshop took place at the Padre Francisco Almandoz Social Center, consisting of three work sessions in which spaces for listening and support, training on communication in the family, emotion management, stress management, parenting and education of children have been offered. children. These topics seek personal and family growth and, especially, motivate for change in order to improve their social situation.
The attendees value these activities very positively as they feel recognized and listened to and it allows them to share their experience with other families who are experiencing similar difficult situations.
Likewise, from the technical team that gives these workshops, these meetings are considered essential because they allow them to offer families support beyond primary care, deepen the coordinated work with the volunteer teams and have an impact on all the members of the household. , creating improvement synergies in other areas beyond material poverty.
The socio-educational workshops are co-financed by the Department of Equality, Social Policies and Conciliation of the Junta de Andalucía through the tax allocation of 0.7% of Personal Income Tax and by Cáritas Diocesana de Cádiz.
