Cáritas and Red Cross activate campaigns to help those affected by Dana – Alfàs del Pi City Council

While work continues on the rescues and clearing of roads affected by Dana, the organization of special campaigns to collect donations with which to help the thousands of affected people begins.

As explained by the Councilor for Social Welfare, Marisa Cortés, “we are in contact with the organizations of Valencia and they have told us that the best way to collaborate is through the donation of funds, since at the moment they do not require that the organize campaigns to collect belongings or clothing.” The Alfàs del Pi City Council appreciates the citizens’ solidarity and informs that, at this time, action is being taken on the emergency. As material resources are needed, they will be communicated to the population.

These are some of the organizations that are collecting funds for citizen aid for the victims of the worst Dana of the century in Spain.

Red Cross

Red Cross asks for donations through its website (www.cruzroja.es/colabora). It also makes the telephone number 900 104 971 available to donors. By calling this number, you can receive guidance on the donation process or make the contribution directly.

In addition, you can collaborate through bizum at 33512. Another quick and easy option is to send a text message (SMS) with the word HELP to the numbers 28092 (Donation of €1.20), 38088 (Donation of €3 ) and 38092 (Donation of €6). This form of collaboration is accessible and allows small contributions to be made.

The heavy rains have affected thousands of people, forcing many of them to leave their homes. In response, the emergency services and the Spanish Red Cross are working day and night on rescue and assistance work, in addition to activating this special campaign aimed at raising funds for those affected by DANA.
