Following the call of Pope Francis in his recent message for the World Day of Peace, Cáritas Diocesana de Albacete begins the year with the desire to create spaces for dialogue, meeting and participation aimed at charting a common path, thus following the steps of a synodality in which the entity, as the Church that it is, wants to continue building and giving shape.
Along this path, Cáritas intends to continue giving the utmost importance to the processes of reception, listening, accompaniment, discernment, participation and community integration. For this reason, in this context, the entity wanted to count on Monsignor D. Jesús Fernández González, Bishop of Astorga, President of the Episcopal Subcommittee for Charitable and Social Action of the Spanish Episcopal Conference and accompanying Bishop of Cáritas Española, to address this reality . He will do so in a presentation entitled “Charity, the backbone of Synodality”, which will take place on Monday, February 6, at 5:00 p.m., in the assembly hall of the Bishopric of Albacete.
As accompanying Bishop of Cáritas Española, Monsignor D. Jesús Fernández González will take advantage of his stay in the city to personally learn about the programs and projects developed by Cáritas Diocesana de Albacete and the El Sembrador Foundation in the Diocese.
Cáritas Diocesana encourages priests, agents, technicians, volunteers… to participate in this presentation that will reflect on some of the challenges that as a Church we must continue to address.
