The match will therefore be between two women: Iman Khelif and Angela Carini. It would be useful for La Russa to always cheer for women, not just when he thinks it helps him to attack LGBTQIA+ people”.

The match was then interrupted after a few seconds. The 25-year-old Neapolitan retired in tears after taking a couple of hard blows to the face. First she stopped due to a problem with her helmet after a violent right, then she decided to abandon. “It hurt me a lot”, she seems to have said from her lips. And immediately La Russa, on social media: “Her crying does her credit, I’ll wait for her in the Senate to hug her”.

Meloni meets Carini

But the Prime Minister is also in Paris today Georgia Meloni. In the evening, accompanied by the Minister of Sport Andrea Abodiwanted to meet Angela Carini: “You will get what you deserve,” he also told her on social media.

When in 2021 the IOC changed the regulation on this matter we presented a motion to point out the consequences that this could have. Because it is a fact that with the levels of testosterone in the Algerian athlete’s blood the race at the start does not seem fair. There were therefore also profiles linked to safety. FdI turns to the EU Commission

Giorgia Meloni’s party also announced a question to the EU Commission. It was presented by the MEP Elena Domazzan as the first signatory, but the entire Melonian delegation signed it. The result? After a few seconds, our Angela Carini was forced to withdraw and burst into tears over the injustice she suffered. The world turned upside down”, wrote the Lega MEP on Facebook.

An invitation not to politicize the case came from the co-spokesperson of Europa Verde and Avs MP, Angel Bonelli: “We are talking about an Algerian athlete who is not transsexual. It happens that there are people, even women, who have a high concentration of testosterone.”
