Coach Fábio Carille admitted the “daddy-o” style to deal with the difficult moment of Santos in the Brazilian Championship.
Now in 16th place, Peixe fights against the relegation zone. And in front of a young cast, the solution is to avoid criticism.
“I’m trying to play more of a father role. Paulada comes from all over. It’s no use for me as commander to make unnecessary demands, to take them further down. I trust, we try to know how to talk, ask and demand. There’s a lot of press stuff, fans and social network. We don’t have that role. We have to calm down and show the paths in training,” said Carille.
The way of the coach and other members of the technical committee pleases the athletes. In a meeting with leaders last Monday, President Andres Rueda heard several praises for Carille.
After beating Fluminense, Santos will return to the field to face Athletico next Saturday, at Arena da Baixada, for the 29th round of the Brasileirão.
