Tropical heat this Saturday afternoon on the Montpellier tarmac! The mercury is rising and this time this does not come from climate change but from the heat released by thousands of carnival-goers who participate in the largest West Indian carnival in France organized by l’association WIF (West Indies Family).
Percussion, disguises each more crazy than the other, there are nearly 15,000 to celebrate West Indian culture with joy and good humor, and among them, the Olympic Games oblige, 11 delegations carry the flame from the Montpel Carnival through the streets of the Mas Devon district to Montcalm Park. The party will continue all night from 8 p.m. to 2 a.m. at the exhibition center and will continue with an after party until 6 a.m. Caliente!
