Cargo ships collide in eastern Aegean Sea with no injuries or pollution risk

The Singapore-flagged cargo ship Potentia with crew of 19 and a Vanuatu-flagged ANT vessel with crew of 19 collided in the eastern Aegean Sea, 19 miles north of Chios.

“There were no injuries. There is no risk of pollution,” the coast guard told Reuters on condition of anonymity. He added that the ship was not full of cargo.

It was not clear what caused the clash. The official added Greek authorities have dispatched two boats and two search and rescue helicopters to the site.
