Cargo cocaine hidden among bananas intercepted in Algeciras port

Operation Meridional Plan successfully ended in the arrest of seven people and the dismantling of a criminal business network in Jerez de la Frontera, Cadiz.

Truck intercepted

A truckload of bananas was intercepted entering the port of Algeciras. However, when searching the boxes of merchandise, the police discovered that more than just bananas were being transported.

Agents found more than 600 kilos of cocaine among the bananas. The official video of the Spanish National Police shows how the criminals thought they could evade detection by surrounding the cocaine with the bananas.

This is just one of the many successful operations carried out by the police in Spain on a regular basis.
