Carey Price was scheduled to meet her doctor in New York last week

Carey Price’s state of health continues to command attention at the Canadiens. The goalkeeper is still recovering from knee surgery, a knee in which there was also swelling (at least that was the case before the start of the season).

What we do know is that Price is progressing in his return to play process. He was in phase 3 (out of 4) of it ten days ago and he had to start training with it again. the team before the holiday break (which did not happen due to COVID-19).

Although he has not trained with the team more this morning, but there is no need to worry (yet).

Indeed, after training this morning, Dominique Ducharme told the media that Price was to meet his doctor on the New York side last week when the team was to be there to play a few games.

Finally, due to the outbreak of COVID-19 at CH, this meeting will take place virtually. Either way, Ducharme also clarified that Price might not even have come with the team if she left for New York due to the COVID-19 cases in the organization.

Also according to Ducharme, Price will be evaluated on a daily basis, but the process is ongoing. He still has a little way to go, but there is progress. The advice of his doctor will however be an important element in the coming days.

And I think that’s why we didn’t see him this morning: we absolutely want the advice of his doctor before he trains with the team. If he agrees, I wouldn’t be surprised to see Price take part in a practice before the end of the week.

We still do not know when Price will be back in front of the Canadiens’ net, but we feel that there is a light at the end of the tunnel. If he avoided a setback in his rehabilitation, my presentiment of non-expert tells me that we could see him again somewhere in January (or, at the latest, in February). Take this for what it’s worth.

A lot of

COVID-19: According to Brendan Gallagher, Artturi Lehkonen has had similar symptoms to his, while Ben Chiarot and Chris Wideman are doing well.

– Speaking of Gallagher, he can’t wait to get back to the game (and he trusts the staff and protocols in place).

– Indeed.

– The CH offers its condolences to those close to Jean-Marc Vallée. A death as surprising as it is tragic.

– Xavier Bourgault’s CMJ could already be finished due to a potential concussion. We hope that this is not the case.

– Three cases of COVID-19 among the Flyers.
