North Aceh (Waspada Aceh) – In the span of 14 years, the North Aceh Health Service recorded 146 cases of people with the deadly HIV-AIDS virus, 65 of whom were reported to have died. This patient is suspected to be due to not taking medication regularly according to the officer’s recommendations.
Head of the North Aceh Health Service (Dinkes), Amir Syarifuddin through the Head of Disease Control and Prevention (P2P), dr. Ferianto said, Wednesday (12/8/2021), the number of HIV-Aids cases in North Aceh, from 2007 to 2021.
He said, currently the North Aceh Health Office is serious about handling cases of HIV-AIDS sufferers and continues to monitor the progress of the sufferers, whose ages vary from 26 years and 45 years.
“We still urge people living with HIV-AIDS to continue to seek treatment regularly, both in hospitals and health centers, so that they do not spread to other members of the community,” he pleaded. (Syaiful).
