Career orientation – A third of all female apprentices only choose from three career areas

With more than 200 apprenticeships available, it is important to make a good decision. Young people should use the Lower Austria career orientation platform to recognize their talents and make the right career choice. Gender-specific role models must be left out. Although there are such a large number of apprenticeships, around a third of all female apprentices only choose from three different professional sectors. In contrast, more than half of male apprentices choose from ten different professions. The initiative aims to help young people learn about the full range of career options.
