It’s time to clean up in Arizona. Following the departures of Kliff Kingsbury and Steve Keim, the Cardinals could part ways with star receiver DeAndre Hopkins, according to The Score’s Jordan Schultz.
Team owner Michael Bidwell should explain this transfer objective to general management candidates.
Arrived in Arizona three years ago, Hopkins could, thanks to this transfer, get a juicy new contract in another franchise, and potentially approaching Davante Adams’ $ 28.5 million a year. Either way, it could look like a fresh start for the Cardinals, around Kyler Murray but without one of the best weapons in the NFL.
The 30-year-old Hopkins is a three-time All-Pro who had three seasons in 1,400+ yards during his career that began in 2013. Banned for the first six games of the 2022 season following a positive drug test, he went on to have 64 receptions, 717 yards and 3 touchdowns in 9 games.
