The Cardinals of Lara have officially unveiled their 28-man roster for the highly anticipated 2025 Caribbean Series,set to take place in Mexicali,Mexico. The team, fresh off their victory in the Venezuelan Professional Baseball League (LVBP), is gearing up to face the best clubs from across the Caribbean in this prestigious tournament.
The roster retains much of the core that led the cardinals to their LVBP triumph, with notable additions in the form of reinforcements. Among the new faces are pitchers Jesús Vargas, Silvino Bracho, Anthony Vizcaya, adn Liarvis Breto, alongside catcher Francisco Arcia and utility player Alexi Amarista. However, the team will be without Harold castro, a key offensive player who will not participate in the tournament.
Despite Castro’s absence, the Cardinals boast a formidable lineup featuring stars like Ildemaro Vargas, Rangel Ravelo, Hernán Pérez, and Eduardo García, who were instrumental in their recent success. the pitching staff is equally extraordinary, anchored by Máximo Castillo, Jimmy endersby, and Adrián Almeida, who played pivotal roles in the team’s championship run. They will be supported by a deep bullpen including Arnaldo Hernández, Brian McKenna, and Edwin Escobar.
The Cardinals will open their Caribbean series campaign against the Dominican Republic this Friday, with catchers Alí Sánchez, Francisco Arcia, and yojhan Quevedo guiding the pitching staff.
