Cardi B Reveals She is Single: What Led to the Split with Offset and What’s Next for the Rapper

Cardi B has been single for a while. She said this to her followers in an Instagram Live session. The artist married rapper Offset on September 20, 2017.

“I don’t know if you noticed my hints in my Instagram Lives or Stories? Like certain music that I play,” says 31-year-old Cardi B in the short clip. “I’ve been single for a while now, but I didn’t know how to share it with the world.”

The rapper decided to share the news with her followers because she wants to “start the year 2024 fresh and open”. “I’m looking forward to a new life and a new start.” Observant followers had already noticed that Cardi B and Offset have not followed each other on Instagram since the beginning of December.

It is not the first time that Cardi B and 31-year-old Offset have broken up. In 2018 the Bodak Yellowrapper announced that the relationship was over, but a few months later the couple appeared at the Grammy awards ceremony. In 2020, entertainment website reported TMZ that the two had broken up again. Cardi B even filed for divorce, but it didn’t get that far.

The couple has two children: daughter Kulture Kiari, five, and son Wave Set, two. Offset has sons Jordan (13) and Kody (8), and daughter Kalea Marie (8) from previous relationships.
