The founder of the Cardano (ADA) network and the CEO of Input Output Hong Kong (IOHK), Charles Hoskinson, has recently spoken about the future of Cardano. Especially about how regulation and possible new laws can affect the ecosystem. Hoskinson is in any case quite positive.
Cardano and regulation
Charles Hoskinson previously indicated that he is not necessarily afraid of regulation of the crypto industry by governments. According to him, it is important that this industry is properly regulated, but also that this is done in a transparent and correct manner.
Hoskinson therefore regularly consults with US government agencies, including legislators and policymakers. He believes it is important to work with these bodies to help set up a regulatory framework and to provide feedback on existing proposals. Hoskinson states that this is of great importance for the Cardano network.
“The Cardano ecosystem will engage and desire to do regulated business, whether it is an offering of security tokens, whether it is regulated, or whether it is legacy financial institutions such as banks that adopt the protocol and their want to keep charters.”

Following his latest visit to Washington, Hoskinson is cautiously optimistic about the direction in which the Cardano network will move. According to him, there is still a lot of work to be done, but the signals are simply very positive.
“We will continue as a community to become more and more decentralized and resilient and diverse and we will continue to innovate as a community many of the things we do in Cardano are not just about scalability, performance and quality of the code but have a lot to do with the social elements of a cryptocurrency.”
Behind the scenes there is also lately worked hard to the Cardano ecosystem. There are also a number of important updates on the agenda. Perhaps the most important of these is the forthcoming Vasil hard fork† This major update should launch sometime in June this year if everything goes according to plan.
