As the Ministry of Health has already reiterated, the presentation of the document is mandatory in Massive events such as concerts, fairs and places such as restaurants, bars, gastrobars, cinemas, discos, dance venues, concerts, casinos, bingo halls, or stadiums, amusement and theme parks or museums.

Germán Escobar, Vice Minister of Public Health and Provision of Services (e), stated that “what you are looking for this requirement is to have greater security and tranquility in the face of the possibility of contagion in these spaces “.

“As has been done since November, today a new phase begins demanding the vaccination card in people over 12 years of age, with complete schedules”, he stated.
Escobar pointed out that this demand is not an open letter to lower our guard with fundamental security measures, such as the use of the face mask and hand washing, for example.
In this sense, he invited parents to bring their children and complete their vaccination schedules because, in addition to the protection that vaccination provides, they will be able to attend these types of events and spaces.
Regarding the requirement of the vaccination card with a complete scheme, Gerson Bermont, director of Promotion and Prevention of the Ministry of Health and Social Protection, previously explained that this provision is not forcing the population to apply the vaccine. What is sought is to minimize the risk of transmission of the covid-19 against those people who have not agreed to the vaccination.
In this sense, the Ministry of Health was emphatic that this measure does not affect public transport, supermarkets, market places, drugstores, financial and public entities, among others.

On the other hand, in view of the end of the year events and family or friends meetings, Escobar recommended attending the vaccination points, either for his first, second or his booster dose.
“This will allow us to share these last days of the year safely and prepare for the entrance to classes of our boys and girls in the 2022 school calendar”, stressed the deputy minister.
