Nutritionists point out that eliminating them or reducing their consumption too much for a long time can lead to liver and kidney damage and increase the risk of cardiovascular disease.

When it comes to good or bad carbohydrates, some clarifications need to be made. Carbs by themselves are neither good nor bad. Their usefulness depends on which other nutrients are added. First you need to read the labels on the foods we eat and check that all the nutrients useful to the body such as fiber and vitamins are present together with carbohydrates. On the other hand, foods rich in carbohydrates with high amounts of salt, complex fats and sugars should be avoided. This is the case, for example, of many packaged products.
