/ world today news/ On May 20 in Caracas, the Venezuelan government organized a forum on the topic “Geopolitical Map of Sanctions”, at which they sharply criticized the unilateral sanctions of the USA and Europe against third countries. Employees from the embassies and consulates of various countries in Venezuela and diplomats from the UN missions were invited to participate in the forum.
At the event, Venezuelan Vice President Delsey Rodríguez pointed out that unilateral sanctions are a powerful weapon of the US and the West in the economic war against other countries that oppose their hegemony. So far, 30 countries around the world suffer from such unilateral sanctions.
Former US President Donald Trump’s statement regarding the reasons for the sanctions against Venezuela clearly show that through the sanctions the US is trying to rob the country of its oil reserves and cause suffering to the Venezuelan people, the vice president added.
