The driver of the SH car collided with some motorcycles parked in the Tanjung Priok area, North Jakarta (Jakut). 9 motorbikes were hit.
In the video circulating on social media on Thursday (11/24/2022), a man is seen surrounded by a certain number of people. There were also security guards around.
“A woman was driving a car who was allegedly drunk and had an argument with her boyfriend so that the car was speeding up and going up a high hill, then the car bounced and hit a number of motorcycles parked in Indomaret Point on Lake Sunter”, the narration that accompanies the video.
North Jakarta Police Chief Kompol Edi Purwanto spoke out and clarified the narrative that was circulating. He said the driver of the car was not a woman but a man.
“(The driver) Brother SH, male,” Edi said.
Edi confirmed that there were no deaths or injuries as a result of this incident. This accident started when the car being driven by SH went out of control.
“When the Toyota Land Cruiser B-1022-RFQ driven by SH was driving eastward on Jalan Danau Sunter Selatan, to be exact in front of the Green Lake shop, it lost control to the left and hit the metal fence of the shop, turning 360°,” Edi said.
The vehicle then hit some motorcycles parked in front of the shop. Luckily there was no one on the bike.
“He broke 9 vehicles that were parked in front of the shop,” Edi said.
Edi did not respond further when asked whether or not the driver was drunk.
