Rhine-Neckar.An accident in Epfenbach (Rhein-Neckar district) caused a stir on Christmas Day. The police said that a 26-year-old man lost control of his Fiat around 9:20 p.m. and ended up in the hedge of a property. Later it turned out that he was considerably drunk with 2.2 per thousand alcohol in his blood. There was damage of around 5000 euros. When the police arrived on site, a larger crowd had gathered and the 47-year-old owner of the house beat the Fiat driver.
The police had to use batons to separate the people. The 47-year-old later spat on an officer and punched him in the face. He was then taken to the station.
