Car set on fire in the Porsche Center in Berlin-Adlershof – Berlin.de

A car in the Porsche Center in Berlin’s Adlershof district is believed to have been set on fire. The car and a second Porsche in the fenced area were badly damaged by the fire on Wednesday night. The wall of a workshop building was also damaged. The police assume arson, said a spokesman. A political motive was not initially suspected. A fire commissioner in the State Criminal Police Office (LKA) determined.

During the extinguishing work, the Eisenhutweg between Hermann-Dorner-Allee and Straße at the airfield was closed, announced the traffic information center (VIZ). The BVG bus route 160 had to be diverted.

In Berlin, cars are set on fire almost every night and destroyed or damaged by the fires. The majority of the arson attacks is apolitical, only a few dozen arson attacks per year are carried out mainly by left-wing extremists and in a few cases also by right-wing extremists.
