Car Radiator Fan Is Noisy, Here Are Several Causes

A noisy car radiator fan is certainly very annoying. When the radiator fan on the car makes noise, of course it also raises concerns. For example, namely worrying that the car’s radiator fan is badly damaged or there is damage to other components.

The radiator fan itself is a component of the cooling system in a car. The cooling system has a function to keep the engine from experiencing overheat. The radiator fan has the role of flowing air into the engine through the grille on the radiator.

The air will be very beneficial for the car when it is stopped. The radiator fan is also a very important component for four-wheeled vehicles.

Because the existence of a cooling system prevents the engine from experiencing overheat which is certainly dangerous.

Causes of Noisy Car Radiator Fan

The radiator fan is a car component that can experience various problems. One problem that often occurs is that the fan suddenly makes a loud noise. This is of course very annoying, especially if the sound is heard up to the cabin.

Finally, the driver and passengers cannot feel comfortable while driving. Passengers who want to rest and sleep during the trip will also be disturbed. In addition to disturbing comfort, this problem of course also causes anxiety when using it.

Because, fear that the noisy fan will actually make damage to other components. As a result, during the trip we continue to feel anxious and also worry if something happens. Because of this, many people immediately find out what causes this fan problem.

Noisy car radiator fans often occur in cars that use electric motor driven fans. But not infrequently cars with belt-driven radiator fans also experience this problem. The causes of this noisy fan are also quite diverse, here are the causes:

Bearing Motor Cooling Fan Aus

The first cause that often occurs is that the bearing or bushing of the cooling fan motor is worn out. If the bearing is worn then if you shake the radiator fan it will feel oblak. In addition, usually there is excessive vibration when the cooling fan motor rotates.

The cooling fan motor bearing itself functions to keep the fan rotation smooth and stable. If the bearing is oblak and worn, the fan rotation is unstable and choked up. Even if the oblak is severe, the radiator fan rotation can be shaky.

This shaky car radiator fan rotation can then cause noise. To overcome this, of course, you have to check the cooling fan bearing section. If the bearing is oblak and worn out, then you can replace it with a new one.

Car Radiator Fan Is Noisy Because Fan Blade Is Damaged

Another cause that can occur is due to damage to one or some of the fan blades. For example, one of the blades is broken so that the fan rotation becomes unstable. This can then cause the radiator fan to sound while it is spinning.

Fan blade damage can also occur due to various causes. For example, because of an ejected stone or wood that entered the radiator fan section. This can happen when you pass through damaged roads or floods that carry a lot of garbage.

Fan Blade Not Center

The last cause is because the position of the fan blade is no longer there center with the seat. This problem can occur because the cooling fan motor is having problems. It could also be because the workload of the fan motor is too heavy because it keeps rotating in all conditions.

Apart from that, it could also be because the plastic connection of the ballad fan and the aluminum shaft of the cooling fan motor has melted. The position of the fan blade is not center this makes the fan spin shaky. It can even come into contact with the radiator grille, causing water leaks.

This condition can then make the radiator fan sound and noisy. You also have to immediately fix the damage so that the fan doesn’t sound anymore. If the damage is too severe, then inevitably you have to replace it with a new one.

Thus the discussion of some of the causes of noisy car radiator fan problems. By knowing the problem, of course you can immediately do the right treatment. (R10/HR-Online)
