Ten people were injured, four of them seriously, after a car plowed into a crowd at an international kite festival in northern France on Saturday, local officials said.
Pas-de-Calais authorities said initial reports were that an elderly driver lost control of his car and hit pedestrians during the festival in the coastal town of Berc-sur-Mer.
The emergency services reported that 4 were seriously injured, including two female pensioners, aged 75 and 82.
The annual festival takes place over several days, and attracts hundreds of thousands of visitors from all over the world.
