After a chase, the police drove a car in Weert. The passengers allegedly attempted to blow up an ATM in Schwelm, Germany, this morning. During the chase, officers fired warning shots.
The chase ended against a gate of a house. The occupants fled, two of whom have now been arrested. The police are still looking for a third suspect. A police helicopter was also used in the chase, reports 1Limburg.
A suspicious package was found in the car. Research by the EOD shows that it is an explosive. One part is detonated, another part goes to the NFI for further investigation.
