For obvious reasons, the Škoda Kodiaq is a common car with us. For equally understandable reasons, someone might want a Kodiaq that no neighbor has. A powerful but relatively expensive solution would be the Kodiaq RS. The expressive Sportline set adds a sporty note to the score of a large off-roader, but for those who prefer to see an all-terrain vehicle in Kodiak, there is a robust Scout. However, there is one special version of Kodiaq that is very rare in our country, and it would only be recognized on the street by a connoisseur.
125 years ago, the enterprising Bohemians founded a bicycle, motorcycle and later car manufactory in Mladá Boleslav. In 1925, it was taken over by the Škoda Works conglomerate and renamed the company as we know it today – Škoda Auto. Kodiaq Laurin & Klement includes all the best that a Czech carmaker can give, but on the outside, only small inscriptions on the front wings show what is special.

In fact, the exclusive Kodiaq has a different design of bumpers, a chrome radiator grille and 19-inch wheels that other “clouds” don’t have. However, what really sets L&K apart not only from other Kodiak but also from other Škodas is the salon.
Laurin & Klement has never been one of the cheapest, and the question arises, what should I pay for – that 2 inscriptions out? Of course not. The main benefit is the salon. It can’t be shown, but the scent speaks for itself – genuine leather is used here, and such seats are not available in any other Kodiaq kit.
They can be black or beige, and in both cases the backs will be embroidered with the Laurin & Klement logo.

And that’s not all. The spare wheels are no less elegantly integrated in the Canton audio system subwoofer, and in the multimedia device – the factory navigation. Apple Car Play connects wirelessly. Everything is heated, including the steering wheel, windscreen and rear seats. When maneuvering the surroundings, 360-degree cameras are observed, but while driving – a complex of assistant drivers.
If this set is already so elegant, and it really is, why is it so rare? The thing is that L&K has always been very expensive, no matter what the basic model. In Germany, for example, such a Kodiaq costs at least € 45,000 without additional equipment. We are lucky. With front-wheel drive and a petrol engine, L&K costs just over € 32,000. In turn, with a diesel and a 4×4 like this car – 37,000 euros. By comparison, for that money you can get a VW Tiguan R – Line, but only with a small petrol engine and a towing front.
