Car incentives: 76 million euros go to the fund

April 26, 2021

A new amount of money is on the way for car bonuses dedicated to Italians who decide to buy a new vehicle. It is the Ministry of Economic Development to declare it, since last Friday 23 April 2021 in fact others have been added 76 million euros at the bottom available.

In fact, a refinancing had already been requested for some time, since the money destined for the citizens had already run out, we talked about it a few weeks ago. It certainly isn’t much, but at least it’s a first step. It is destined to all categories of cars and motorcycles, and therefore it must be distributed between motor vehicles, electric and hybrid cars with CO2 emissions between 0 and 60 g / km, and Euro 6 petrol and diesel or mild hybrid.

With the 2021 Budget law the Euro 6 vehicles had obtained 250 million euros as Ecobonus to be used with scrapping of an old vehicle. The sum is sold out before the deadline set on 30 June 2021 (for cars 0-60 g / km are available until 31 December 2021).

The 76 million euros for the “Reprogramming of residual resources already allocated for 2020 in the ‘Relaunch’ and ‘August’ decrees, as well as in the Ecobonus fund “(from the note published on the institutional portal) are divided as follows:

  • 56 million in the Ecobonus M1 2021 fund for cars with CO2 emissions between 0 and 60 g / km;
  • 13 million for the 2021 M1 budget law fund for cars with emissions between 61 and 135 g / km;
  • 2 million is the extra bonus that flows into the 2021 budget law fund for cars with 0-60 g / km emissions;
  • 000 euros go to the Ecobonus L 2021 fund (motorcycles).

With about 5 million euros, the fund 2020 Residual Relaunch Decree for all cars (M1) with 0-135 g / km emissions.

The sum of money that today Mise has allocated in addition to cars 61-135 g / km of CO2, among the best-selling on the national market, could end in a very short time, the 250 million released on January 18th are in fact sold out in less than three months. For cars with CO2 emissions of 0-60 g / km, however, there is still a good chunk of money. For this reason, the Government is always asked for a substantial refinancing for Euro 6 petrol and diesel cars. This is the first ‘small’ step, let’s see how long it will last and what will happen in the coming months.
