Car incentives 2023, it’s a race against time: Italians warned. The government has confirmed the figures, now all from the dealers
The year has just begun, but for many Italians it’s already a race against time. Let’s talk about all those who bet on Incentives auro 2023 for electric and hybrid cars which have been confirmed by the Meloni government.
A whole little more than 600 million euros and for this it is already a race against time, at least to book the models at the dealerships. The provision follows what had already been foreseen by the government: a discount for electric cars, with CO2 emissions between 0 and 20 grams per kilometer up to 5 thousand euros in the event of scrapping a vehicle up to Euro 5.
But the incentives for hybrids have also been confirmed, starting with plug-ins. The real novelty is represented by the fact that the amount allocated to all those with an income of less than 30 thousand euros has been increased.
Car incentives 2023, it’s a race against time: all available figures
Let’s go into detail and see what the new 2023 car incentives provide. A bonus for the purchase of new vehicles with class not lower than Euro 6 and emissions between 0 and 20 g/km (electric cars) and with a list price of a maximum of 35,000 euros. In this case, you are entitled to 4,500 euros (previously they were 3,000) or 7,500 euros instead of the current 5,000 in the event of scrapping a vehicle prior to Euro 5.
For vehicles with emissions from 21 to 60 g/km such as hybrid cars, in particular plug-ins, with a maximum price of 45,000 euros, there will be a 3,000 euro bonus (now 2,000) which rises to 6,000 euros with scrapping instead of 4,000). The new decree also includes rental companies and operators as well as “legal entities that rent cars provided they retain ownership for at least 12 months”.
Furthermore, for the year 2022, a contribution has been introduced for the purchase of standard power infrastructures for recharging vehicles powered by electricity. The amount will be 80% of the purchase and installation price, up to a maximum of 1,500 euros per individual applicant. Or 8,000 euros for installation on the common areas of condominium buildings.
Incentives for 2023, there are also those for mopeds and motorcycles as well as for commercial vehicles
The 2023 incentives will also start for the purchase of mopeds and motorcycles of the L1e, L2e, L3e, L4e, L5e, L6e, L7 categories, for electric vehicles and those with internal combustion engines. In particular for the electric motorcycles the contribution is equal to 30% of the purchase price, up to a maximum of 3,000 euros, or 40%, up to 4,000 thousand euros. But only in case of scrapping a motorcycle with class up to Euro 3.
For petrol motorbikes, on the other hand, in addition to a 5% discount from the dealer, there is also a contribution of 40%, up to a maximum of 2,500 euros, on the purchase price with scrapping of a motorbike from Euro 0 to Euro 3.
Finally we see the incentives for commercial vehicles. Only 100% electric vehicles are intended and provide for 4,000 euros for the purchase of N1 vehicles up to 1.5 tons, 6,000 euros for N1 vehicles over 1.5 tons and up to 3.5 tons, 12,000 euros for N2 vehicles from 3.5 tonnes up to 7 tonnes and 14,000 euros for N2 vehicles over 7 tonnes up to 12 tonnes. Also in all these cases there must be the scrapping of a vehicle of the same category, approved in an emission class lower than Euro 4.
