Car hits a group of young people: ‘Scooters flew through the air’ | Inland

Two people have been taken to a hospital. How they are doing is not known. The incident happened at 9 p.m. on Nering Bögelweg. That street is located on a business park. It was already very dark on the spot at the time of the collision.

A man has been arrested as a suspect. His place of residence is not yet known. According to RTV Oost, the young people who were hit were on scooters. According to them, the man ran into them on purpose. “He went so fast. I think he drove eighty. The scooters flew through the air. Not normal ”, one of them says.

‘Under the influence’

The victims say they do not know the suspect. “There was a man in the white car,” one of the youngsters told De Gelderlander. “He didn’t speak Dutch. He come out, went back in, and then he wanted to run. I heard the starter motor go. Then we stopped him. I think he was under the influence of something. ”
