Darmstadt (ots) – Late on Sunday evening (February 14th), 11.25 p.m., residents reported a vehicle fire in Eysenbachstrasse in Darmstadt-Eberstadt. When the Darmstadt fire brigade arrived, an Opel Corsa parked under a wooden carport was in full fire. The flames had already spread to the carport itself and two other parked vehicles. The fire brigade prevented the flames from spreading to a residential building, even though parts of the roof structure were damaged. The house is still habitable, no one was injured. According to first cautious estimates, property damage of at least 60,000 euros should have occurred.
