MIDDELBURG – The emergency services were called out on Tuesday for a car that had ended up in the water. The driver was rescued from the water and taken to hospital by ambulance.
The person would have ended up with a car in the canal at Achter de Houttuinen in Middelburg around 3.45 pm. The police quickly got the woman to the side and moved it to an ambulance.
By now the car had completely disappeared under water. Kuzee has been summoned to recover the car. Divers from the fire brigade had to come to the scene to get the car out of the water. The vehicle was recovered from the water around 6.30pm.
