The driver who drove into the water Friday afternoon has died. The police confirm that. Bystanders saw the car drive into the water around 2:30 p.m. It happened at the Hoevense Kanaaldijk in Tilburg.
Emergency services rescued the driver from the water. They then tried to resuscitate the victim, but without success.
There were no other people in the car.
