Shortly after 7 a.m., a 38-year-old motorist drove on the main road from Speicher in the direction of Trogen. Immediately after the Buchenstrasse/Hauptstrasse junction, in the area of the car garage, he lost control of his car. The vehicle went left over the oncoming lane and the pavement and collided with a parked car on the exhibition site. The man then continued his journey in the direction of Trogen despite a defective front tire without bothering to settle the claim. The vehicle was stopped by the police in the area of the Säglibach Bridge. The driver was unharmed. Since there was a suspicion of incapacity to drive, the public prosecutor ordered a blood and urine sample. The driver had to hand in his driver’s license on the spot. There was property damage of several thousand francs.
