Two young people were killed in a traffic accident in Staphorst. They were in a car that crashed into a tree for unknown reasons.

The victims were 19 and 17 years old. The 19-year-old man was the driver.

The police received a report around 04:50 a.m. that a car had crashed on the Achthoevenweg in the Overijssel village. The car was found to have four occupants, two of whom had died on the spot.

The other two occupants, boys aged 16 and 17, were taken to hospital with injuries. Nothing has been released about their condition. All victims come from Staphorst.
